ABOUT THIS ROLE:
As a DevOps Engineer on our team, you will develop software and tools to empower the platform’s development teams to run and maintain their services in production. You will collaborate with a wide range of internal partners to engineer automated solutions in an effort to remove toil and enhance stability for a variety of infrastructure, with an emphasis on scalability. You will face challenges that require an engineering mindset and a desire to automate everything possible.
KEY RESPOSIBILITIES:
Day to day support tickets assisting customers as needed;
Using our existing scripts and templates to build AWS CloudFormation Stacks;
Working with the rest of the operation teams to write python and PHP to continue to automate work;
Continue to build up documentation and automation around common support requests.
SKILLS:
Experience in architected cloud-based services including infrastructure maintenance, preferable with AWS and Cloud Formation;
Skills in deploying cloud services, monitoring, alerting, and handling escalations;
Passion about automation and configuration tools like CloudFormation, GitHub.
Writing performant, maintainable, and testable code with PHP and Python;
Commitment to quality and experience with modern software testing practices.
Ability to create new DevOps practices without a well-defined roadmap.
